The Ashcombe Village Fête is on 24th July from 1-6pm. Lot of traditional rural fun for all ages featuring Terrier Races, a brilliant Duck Herding Display, all day BBQ, Ashcombe Scuffle Trucks, Sheep Shearing Demos, Welsh Ponies Display, Bouncy Play Zone, Face Painting and lots of stalls.
Traditional Village Fêtes almost became a thing of the past, but the Ashcombe Village Fête has been going again for a few years and is proving most popular. Come and relax with a beer and a burger, browse the stalls and be entertained by the various displays through the afternoon. There is ample parking and the children go free!
The Fête is partly a showcase of what goes on in Ashcombe and covers Farming, Ashcombe Cider, Ashcombe 4×4 events, The Ashcombe Adventure Centre and lots more. The event is at The Ashcombe Village Club, EX7 0QD. Have a look at the website for any more details. It’s about half a mile from the main complex as you go towards Dawlish. It should be a lovely day for everyone, and all proceeds go to the Ashcombe Village Club’s charities.
