Things to do in Devon this weekend – as usual the local area has lots to offer our Devon Holiday Cottage Guests
This weekend The Occombe Beer Festival takes place takes place on the 15th & 16th June, This not-for-profit festival brings two days of amazing live music, huge choice of beer, cider and wine and a delicious selection of locally produced foods, tasty treats and meals. 100% of profits from the festival go to local charity Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, so your good times are doing good! Friday – gates open at 4pm and close at 11pm, Saturday – gates open at 1.30pm and close at 11pm.
On Sunday 17th June, Pennywell Farm have teamed up with a local Brewery to give dads visiting for Father’s Day a real treat. All dads can enjoy a FREE pasty and a pint of local Ale on their visit! Children can also enjoy the Tractor and Trailer ride, the Red Rocket ride and the Run Rabbit Go Carts, fishing in the fishponds or they could back their favourite porker at 2.30pm when the Pennywell Miniature Pig racing gets underway. It’s a full day of fun for the whole family and a real treat for dad.
Dads and grandads are invited to visit Powderham Castle for FREE on Sunday 18th June when accompanied by a paying child. Follow the “dad trail” around the grounds and claim your prize from the Gift shop. Outside there is acres of space to discover and explore too. The Castle is set in the middle of a deerpark. Join a Deer Park Safari and get closer to the
amazing wildlife. Visit the Walled Garden Play Area & Pets Corner and discover Courtenay Fort. Children will also love to make their own discoveries on the Nature Trails around the grounds.
